The Kailua-Kona Public Library offers this entertaining and informative program that encourages family literacy. The Passport this month takes participants to the Emerald City and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The classic story by L.L. Baum is being brought to life currently at the Aloha Theatre, and some of the cast members will be present to share their experiences of bringing Oz to life in Kailua-Kona.
Friends of Libraries Kona (F.O.L.K.)
F.O.L.K. is a non-profit association of people of all ages and occupations who recognize the importance of excellent libraries. Among their many duties are assisting the libraries in providing the best possible service to the community, providing volunteers and financial assistance, and to promote and encourage family literacy.
